Welcome to the Society
The Inksby Society is a softly narrative letter club for creatives.
Written and sent from a world not quite our own, the monthly letters focus on what it means to engage with the process of artmaking, whatever form that may take. Each member of The Inksby Society will receive a letter set in the mythical village of Inksby as well as an original art print in postcard format, sent out on the last Tuesday of each month.
The handwritten letters are centered on how to nurture an art practice, with reflections on the artist’s journey, small challenges and prompts, and of course, updates on the goings-on of Inksby Village. Occasional special items such as stickers, bookmarks, and recipes will also be included.
The creative challenges are for all kinds of artists, writers, poets, painters, songwriters, doodlers, and dreamers. The only requisite is that each member be willing to set aside time to create, in whichever way they choose.

“Letter club? You do send postcards too, right?”
Yes, along with the letters, there will always be an original artwork sent along in postcard format for easy sharing. But the letters are the bread-and-butter of this operation!

“Are you really handwriting the letters? How??”
The letters are handwritten in that it’s my handwriting. Each letter a printed scan of the first letter I write. I do handwrite each and every name at the beginning of the letters though!
